Uphold the Constitution:
core principles of the Patriot Party are the same
principles upon which the United States of America was founded and are rooted in our belief in Natural Law. They derive from
our Founders belief in individual and personal responsibility.
We do not believe in modern interpretations and manipulation of the Constitution by any branch. We will uphold and follow the Constitution and
the Bill of Rights of the United States.
All government officials should represent the American people with integrity,
morals, and values. The Patriot party believes that responsibility, integrity and ethics are taught and demonstrated, not
legislated. We will accept nothing less than a government and representatives that operate under the guidelines contained
in our Constitution, which best serves and protects its citizens and their liberties.
The following are the only
Federal powers given to the government as stated in the Constitution. The powers not delegated to the United States
by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
District of Columbia
Our Government must be held accountable and responsible. The current governments’
actions have resulted in heavy burdens of taxation and public debt. Increasing taxation and debt
unjustly restricts the liberties the Constitution is designed to protect, and undermines the rights it is designed to secure. In addition, the
increasing national debt is a threat to our national security. We therefore demand from our governments a plan to reduce spending
and balance the budgets, without the creation of further
debt or taxation.
markets are trading without government control; an economic system in which businesses operate without government control.
The current governments’ interference distorts the free market and inhibits the pursuit
of individual and economic liberties. Therefore, the Party supports limited government regulation,
and demands no government participation, intervention, or ownership in private enterprise.
We hold that the United States is a Republic
conceived by the Founding Fathers as a Nation whose people were granted "unalienable rights" by our Creator. Chiefly
among these are the rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The Patriot Party stands with our Founding
Fathers, as heirs to the Republic, to claim our rights and duties which preserve their legacy and our own. We stand with the
Founders, that there exists an inherent benefit to our country when private property and prosperity is secured by Natural
Law and the rights of the individual. The intent of the Constitution was to guarantee the rights of the Individual first, to charge
the Government with the responsibility of protecting those rights, and to limit the Government by its listed powers and limits.
We believe that social issues are best decided at the state and local levels and they
are not and should never be a function of the Federal Government. The Constitution
states “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”
The Constitution does not give the Federal Government the authority to legislate personal
responsibility, nor to impose one groups beliefs on the citizens as a whole. Our Founders
firmly believed in the personal responsibility and morality of the individual. We believe that responsibility, integrity and
ethics is taught and demonstrated, not legislated.
We recognize and support the strength of grassroots organizations and promote civic responsibility at local, state, and national levels. We will
create partnerships with like minded organizations so our shared principles may succeed. It is the intention of the Patriot Party to unite Americans based upon our core values. Our Party will endorse and / or support representatives who truly respond to the wishes of the people.
We support our fellow citizens, and will not allow any special interest group to influence us. The Patriot Party will actively
oppose all Government officials, elected or appointed, who disregard our core principles. We expect nothing less than a Government which best serves and protects its citizens liberties and operates under
the limitations contained within our Constitution.
